Paul Burke CIC,CRM, LIA

Paul has extensive experience in the property and casualty business. In August of 1987, he started Insurit Agency, Inc., Fall River. In 2003, he became president of Hadley Insurit Group Insurance Agency, Inc. (HIG) and is one of the agency’s three co-owners. He is a Certified Risk Manager (CRM), a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), and a Licensed Insurance Advisor, (LIA). Paul is an active Swansea community leader who has been a firefighter for the Volunteer Fire Department since 1974; elected Town Moderator since 1996; and a member of the Board of Directors of the Philanthropic Association of Swansea (d/b/a Swansea Ambulance Corp.) since 1994 where he is a volunteer EMT. He is a former member of the Swansea Board of Selectmen and the town Finance and Advisory Board. His outstanding record of service also includes: past member of the Board of Directors for the Greater Fall River Development Corp; current member of the Board of Directors of Jobs for Fall River, Inc.; and current member of the Board of Directors for the SouthCoast Development Partnership. He is past chairman (2007) of the Board of Directors of the Fall River Chamber of Commerce and past member of the Boards of Directors for: the Fall River Insurance Agents Association; USS Massachusetts Memorial Committee, Inc.; Massachusetts Association of Independent Insurance Agents (MAIA). Insurance instructor for over 25 years. He holds an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Bristol Community College and a BS Degree in Business and Finance from the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth.

Robert C Hadley, CPCU

Bob joined Hadley Insurance Agency (HIA) in 1977 following his graduation from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst where he received his BA degree in Business Administration. In 1982, he earned a Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation from the American Institute for Property and Liability Underwriters. In 1993, Bob became an agency principal and owner of HIA. Currently, he serves as its president and heads up the agency’s automation and IT operations. In addition, he is one of the three principals and partners of the Hadley Insurit Group (HIG). His outside business activities include: President, SouthCoast Insurance Agents Association; membership on the National Technology Committee of Encompass Insurance Company; and Past President, MA/RI Applied Systems User Group. Locally, Bob has been honored as a Paul Harris Fellow for his distinguished service and a contribution to the Rotary Foundation in his name in support of the Foundation’s goals of world peace and understanding. He has been a United Way volunteer every year since 1990. He also serves as assistant treasurer of his church in Fall River.

Christopher M Hadley

Chris Hadley joined the Hadley Insurance Agency (HIA) in 1987. He is an agency principal and serves as treasurer and personnel manager. He is also a partner and principal of Hadley Insurit Group (HIG). A 1985 graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, he came to the agency with life insurance sales experience with a major national insurer. As a sales representative, he specialized in developing personal financial security programs for individuals---life, disability income, and variable and life annuity programs. Shortly after joining the agency in 1987, Chris was appointed sales manager and producer. He expanded the agency’s business insurance capabilities by creating g a direct marketing program for the sale of commercial property and casualty services. The program offers professional services for all types of small- and medium-size business organizations in the South Coast area. In 1997, he became an agency owner and principal. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement and a Past President of the Rhode Island Squash Racquets Association. Chris and his family reside in Barrington, RI.

Thomas Cote

After serving in the US Navy in the early 1970’s, Tom worked for various companies before joining Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in 1992 where he received numerous sales awards including the Golden Quill award for sales and service in 1993. He started Cote Insurance Agency in 1994 on Newton Street in Fall River, MA. In the fall of 2009, Tom joined forces with HIG to increase the availability of insurance products to his clients and to provide them with better service. Tom majored in Electrical Engineering at Roger Williams College and the New England Institute of Technology, Business and Marketing at Bristol Community College and Financial planning at Boston University. As a member of the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents he stays informed of any changes in the insurance industry. Outside of work Tom is a Red Cross volunteer on call at the RI Chapter as a Disaster Action Team member assisting victims in fires and natural disasters. He was deployed to Alexandria, LA in 2008 for Hurricane Gustav. Tom has served on committees for various organizations and is a former Director of the USS Massachusetts Memorial Committee. Tom is a FAA certificated pilot with Private, SEL privileges and holds a RI Journeyman electrician’s license. He is a member of the American Legion, the Navy League, the USS Concord Association and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
